Garden centres do sell them but I haven't really had much luck with them. Like a lot of plants, they tend to wilt in the heat and sun but, unlike other plants, don't seem to come back again.
Growing them in plastic pots or hanging baskets is deadly as the heat concentrates around the roots.
If you put them in pots, you must ensure they are the ones which cool the compost and have lots of air to allow it to circulate and putting them in hanging baskets will only work if you put them in coconut fibre baskets without a plastic lining.

In all cases, you should keep them as cool as possible as temperatures of 25C or above will definitely kill them off.

Lovely during the early months of the year and many garden centres do sell them at that time. Later on is the problem over here. And don't over water them. The water will get hot and cause the plant to break down.

Keep them in the shade and they will survive,as you know cuttings are easy to take in case they dry out/overheat as others have said.
