Climber for Solarium

Hello.

I'm considering making up a planter to support a small dense climber but have no idea what would survive with neglect (very hot solarium and little water).

The plant would only need to climb to around 60cm and would be supported on canes. The idea is to provide a screen at the top of the steps to the solarium.

I successfully grow many types of succulents and even a palm on occasion in these conditions but have no idea when it comes to a climber.

All suggestion welcome but please no Bougainville - I hate the mess they cause.

TIA.

Regards
Neil.

I like the idea of a vine - wonder if it would survive though.

they like the heat and sun, as long as you keep it well watered.
Double lined planter will also stop the roots from burning on contact with the sides.
Make some wine while you are at it???
If grape doesn't work, I think it may have to be a plastic one from the merca-chino... LOL
Good luck.
