GESTAGUA S.L.

Just wondered whether anyone else had noticed a guy checking water meters (we live at the top end of Calle Costa Azul area). This afternoon some guy was just looking into peopleĀ“s water meter boxes and writing something down on a paper. When challenged he just said he was doing an inspection of the meter and pipework. What was very strange was that he did not want to speak Spanish - only a little English. He was very scruffy, about 30 odd years old and no sign of any Hydraqua van.

What was even more strange was that we have only recently had a water billl and surely any inspection could have taken place at the same time as the reading. Unless of course, they do use a separate company.

When asked for his identification he got a card out of his wallet (there were several the same) which gave the company name Gestagua S.L. Having looked on the internet we can see that this is a water company in Murcia.

He obviously knew that he was being watched and most certainly did not check all of the water meters. The name that he quoted on his list that he had checked belonged to a person that lived there a long time ago. In itself that may mean nothing because we know it takes a long time for any utility company to update any new owner.

It is too late in the day to check with Hydraqua in Rojales but not sure who to ask anyway.
