Message fron the Rojales Town Hall:

"The Municipality of Rojales has 8 taxis, of which 2 are adapted for disabled people.

As part of our commitment to increase and improve public services, Rojales Town Council has set up a single telephone number (966 196 999) for booking the local taxi service.

As a result, our citizens will have easier access to the taxis. Magnet badges will be released soon, displaying the telephone number to ensure that it is always visible and handy.

We hope that this initiative will improve the access to the local taxi service."

We have just updated the taxi numbers and drivers on this topic.

We have used most of the taxi drivers in Quesada and they are all very good.... never been let down yet, and we use them quite a bit...

To be honest we have never been disappointed by any taxi driver, and we used them in Guardamar, Formentera, Torrevieja, Alicante and Orihuela etc.. They are all on Taxi meter anyway, but you might want to ask for an estimate beforehand so you know what you are going to be paying.......

We had to take a taxi from Alicante station to San Isisdro recently when train from Valencia broke down making us too late for final train from Alcante.
On route, the driver took a wrong turn & immediately stopped the clock, turned round and started clock again when he was on right road.
Then when we got to San Isidro & told him to stop, he again stopped the clock before going round round about to find a better place to unload passengers.
The clock showed 63.50€, but he said lets call that 60! So we gave him 70€ and he insisted on giving us 10€ change! - Couldn't see that happening in UK!
Generally we have always found the proper licenced taxis in Spain to be very fair!
