Branded dog food available in Spain ?

Planning on moving to Spain later this year, and will be bringing my dog with me. He currently has Nature Diet in the UK. How easy is it to get brands of dog food that are available in the UK, in Spain ? Or have you had to switch your dog over to a Spanish brand ? What is the variety/quality like ? Prices ? We have the likes of Pets At Home in the UK - are there similar stores in Spain, or do you buy it online or from the regular supermarket ?

There are quite a few large pet stores dotted around with a reasonable range of quality brands, so you will definitely find something to suit if not Nature Diet. We used James Wellbeloved in UK but feed Taste of the Wild (excellent product) out here as my friend is a distributor

Thanks Val - will be looking at the Quesada/Benijofar/Guardamar areas. Back again in May to look at more places. Very exciting.

I raised my dog throughout her 12+ years on LUPOSAN Extra dry food ... recommended by her trainer(and now by me!).
They take online orders ... in Spanish or English ...and deliver to your door.
It is not inexpensive, but I used to buy it in 20Kg bags which cost me about 1Euro a day to feed my 30Kg German Shepherd X Belgian Shepherd. If you buy 2x20Kg bags, it's a substantial saving.
Google Luposan Iberica .... they sell various different mixes, but I was quite satisfied with the least expensive ...Luposan Extra.

I've also used the Luposan products - these are very natural dry foods and and I've found them extremely good for my dogs' digestion and health, both of mine have eaten them for the last 17 years, would highly recommend. They have various products from puppy food to a special mix for senior dogs, delivered to your door.
