The commercial zone on the right going into El Raso is undergoing a full makeover. Lots of activity going on. New businesses opening including what looks like a salon. Heard there will be an open day on Saturday 12th March to celebrate the generation. Does anyone know more?

A salon, a possible farmacia and an internet place have been mentioned before.

Not sure that would constitute a 'full makeover'...the main building at the front would need to be taken over for that to happen...unless someone out there knows that it HAS been taken over!

It needs a small supermarket, I think...that's the main thing lacking.

That would be good . . . that part made the place look a bit shabby . . . . rumours were that apart from the Salon, there was to be a Tea/Coffee shop, a cash machine if not a Bank and that the long closed Jennings bar was to become an Italian Restaurant . . . maybe rumours will be coming true for a change?? . . . . or maybe its just the developers of the new builds tidying the place up to help sales?
Back out there in a few days, you have whetted my appetite to see what's new . . .

The only refurbishment I can see is a coat of paint, and only for units that are occupied. It would be good to see something being done with Jennings, blooming eyesore. Even if they stripped all that wood off it would help. Unfortunately, the mini market seems to have closed permanently, there were some folk in gutting the place a short time ago. Oh well...

Small shops struggle to survive on most Urbanisation. Have seen many come and go over the years. They can't compete with the big Supermarkets that keep opening up.
