RATS!

We live in one of the turnings off Sierra de Gredos which is close to the golf club. We've had a problem with overflowing rubbish from the green bins- ours has has no lid. There has a been a disgusting old mattress and rubbish next to the one s further down the road for weeks and the whole road is overgrown and parts of it almost impassable because he trees are so over grown.
Now we have rats. We've seen them in the garden and this week they got into the laundry room, which is fortunately separate from the house. They are also in the under build. One is in the flue from the boiler! I hope I gassed his this morning when I had a shower. Of course we have set traps and left poison, but we don't know how many are in the area.
We have been to the council and made a formal complaint, but it's hardly surprising there is a problem with the rubbish problem.
If you are also affected - PLEASE also put in a complaint with photos as a matter of urgency. Rats breed every few weeks and we need to sort this fast.
The man on the desk does speak English at the council, but if you want to write a letter in Spanish, this is a good translator. https://www.google.es/search?q=spanish+ ... e&ie=UTF-8
