Hi Haze, thank you very much for your reply and helpful info. Do you by any chance know a couple of practical things a) at what age the children move from the primary school to the secondary level? Our son in born in 2006 and we are not clear if he would go next winter into the last year of the primary school or the first year of the secondary school. b) what deadline the schools have for registration of pupils for the next school year?

Hi Secondary school starts from 12 to 18 years We applied for place at start of June as that's when we arrived. We did get our son place at La Encanta about 3weeks later think we were lucky. deadline was early May but they do change timetable around to apply for places you would have to check this. Learning Spanish at La Encanta they teach all ex pats students together when there own class is having English lesson. Our son has never looked back and is now fluent after 3years.
