You don't need a car in Los Montesinos? I would think you do if only to get to a decent supermarket now and again.
Or a waterpark. Or a beach.
Los Montesinos is a lovely place in parts but, come on, it hardly has everything you need.

Guardamar Del Segura a good place to live and you can go anywhere on a bus from the bus station.

I agree. If I ever wanted to relocate our holiday home I always said it would be Guardamar.
I love Quesada (Great supermarkets and bars restaurants for all year living) and also Los Montesinos too (although only one big supermarket just outside the town)but the bus services in both leave a lot to be desired. Guardamar though has one big disadvantage for all year living and that is the fact that it is very quiet in Winter as it is a mainly a Summer beach resort but it does have good supermarkets bars and restaurants and a certain amount of Spanish do live there. Depends what you want really.

Thank you all for responding. Its nice to have more ideas where to look for a permanant home. I think it will all hinge on whether I can get around with my dog, finding cake, coffee, wine, and nice meal out now and again and live rock music
