Hello everyone !

My Husband John & I have just celebrated living in Spain for one year. We love it here and are Residents of Spain.

We just have one problem ! My Husband lived in Canada for 40 years and has a Canadian Drivers Licence and a International Drivers Licence. We recently found out from Trafico in Elche that since we became Residents he can no longer use those Licences ! Seems he has to take driving lessons & test to get a Spanish Drivers Licence. He misses driving and we're trying to find out if there is another way to get his Spanish Drivers Licence. He is 73 and has been driving for only 55 years !!

Has anyone else had a problem (maybe you're Canadian) ?

Would like to see how other people have settled in Spain too.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Sylvia & John

Don't worry about taking the driving test to get your driving licence you don't even have to drive ,you have a small medical and an eye test
