Hi, I am wanting to come over with my 2 small dogs, I am living in Bulgaria at the moment, has anyone done this from Bulgaria, I,m in the Varna area so would have to get them to Sofia for air travel, but one is a Shitzu and I Cant find airline that will take him, I have found a pet transporter from U.K. TO Spain, I wondered if there was anyone based in Spain who would be willing to do it. I Can't drive them myself. I can't come over without my dogs . Thanks for any help you can give me.

I am planning to bring my small dog with me to Quesada. It is not a problem to take her on the plane because I live in Norway which part of Schengen .As is Spain, but neither the UK and probably Bulgaria . So it is difficult to move dogs by air . I flew my dog over from the UK and she had to fly as cargo freight. It cost an arm and a leg.
Here is so info about Schengen countries. You will find more info on the net. May be easier to travel to the nearest one to Bulgaria and fly from there.
Currently, the Schengen area consists of 26 European countries (of which 22 are EU states): Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden, along with Iceland, ...

This is a reply from Bulgaria Air Flights from Sofia to Madrid

The dogs must be in one cage and if the total weight of the dogs with the cage is 8kg , they can be taken in the cabin and tax fee is 50EUR.

First you have to check if there is a possibility for the exact flight.

Thanks for your answers, my dogs do have up to date passports so no problem there. The Shitzu is about 7.5 kg and the spaniel 9kg so they would probably both have to go cargo. I don't know if it would be possible for them to travel together in one carrier? Is there anyone who has done this from Bulgaria? I lost my husband recently so would be travelling on my own and I'm quite worried as to how I would cope with 2 dog carriers plus luggage.
