Hi all
Just arrived in dona pepe for a trial of the area. We hope to do long term rentals gor a few years. We mainly like to socialise over a morning coffee (preferably a good spanish coffee) and enjoy eating out too. Any suggestions for morning coffee and a natter?

I used call it Leigh it's just between Manchester and Liverpool, never heard anybody call it Leith in the 22 years I lived there.

You’re right kenny. Pronounced LEE.

Why is it assumed that the OP comes from Manchester? There are other Leighs in the UK

Leigh, Dorset
Leigh, Kent
Leigh, Staffordshire
Leigh, Surrey
Leigh, Wiltshire
Leigh, Worcestershire

And they’re just the ones without suffixes, there are 11 others, such as Leigh-on-Sea.

:text-welcomewave:

If it is Leigh between Manchester/Liverpool I'm reliably informed by my other half (who is Leigh born & bred and we still live here) that it is pronounced "Layth". Hence "Laythers" are from Leigh.

Back in Dona Pepa for a while in January!

For goodness' sake...what on earth is wrong with you all?!

How about answering the OP???

Hi Jonnno! Plenty of places for coffee, cakes and chats.

Personal favourites are The Coffee Shop in El Raso, and Redz in Quesada. There are countless other places!!

The Rolling Pin just past Elite Gym is fabulous. Fresh home made cakes, pastries, pies and all sorts of lovely coffees and hot chocolates.
Thoroughly recommended and always made welcome by Kathy.
