Welcome!! Agree with posts you will be able to live really well on your income we've been here 16month and just live on husbands state pension of approx 720 Euro a month we both smoke like a drink,run a car and a dog. I'm a chef by trade so canny with the shopping and we manage extremely well, so sit back, relax an enjoy. All the best Jules and Dave

Hi Russell and Sarah and welcome. One thing no one has mentioned is health care, if you are under the state pension limit you will need to take out private which can be costly depending. Also you will need to take into account any pre-existing medical conditions that you may have.
If you are of state pension age, you have the right to reciprocal health care from the Spanish government. However, there have been delays to the distribution of EHIC cards and also the S1 which is the required form from UK to take to the town hall here in Rojales, my advice is, do your homework regarding this. regarding crime, some really good advice on here, just be aware, be careful and lock up when you go out. Inveraray is a great wee town Rusty. The castle won’t be open yet, closes for the winter but the jail is worth a visit. Enjoy
