Hi,
Finding a suitable companion for a day out when you do not know each other might be a tall order.
As you do not drive and your husband will not be with you, have you considered inviting a friend to fly over with you? You can offer them free lodgings. You can arrange for a local (Quesada) taxi to pick you up at Alicante airport. Last time I did this was 3 years ago and it cost about EUR 45 each way. I presume it might be more now?
If you go on coach trips, I know Rosa Tours and David's Coaches offer regular trips. I would suggest you find trips that are 'all day' and include a lunch along the way. Normally everyone sits together for the lunch and my wife and I always end up having interesting conversations with other travellers. Some will be British and others might be Scandinavian or German, but most people speak English. From this you might make new friends or find out more about the area and get recommendations on restaurants and bars etc.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
Graham

Hello, we have just moved into the area, El Raso. I don't know many people either yet. What dates are you coming out..? I would be happy to meet up for a day out or a lunch or something..? Private message me and we can have a chat to see what sort of things we both like.

Hi. We have a holiday home on Lo Crispin which we have had for 5 years. As we currently have our two youngest children still at school , we only come out in the school holidays . Roll on 2019 when we are out more often . We are there next weekend for 2 weeks and perhaps could meet up to say " Hello" and introduce you to our friends who live there . Please feel free to PM me if your interested.

Maggie x

There is a Facebook group called Costa Blanca chatters and they meet up regularly for coffee or lunch,
Also another group Costa Blanca amigos are on Facebook too.
