So we have all voted to leave and whatever i or anybody thinks its done.

Does anybody have answers to the following questions please. Can people please stick to the questions as i did try to read an old post on here but it turned into an argument etc. I ask that politely

Do Norwegian's who are already not part of the EU have to have Visa's or extra paperwork to live or indeed visit Spain

Can you pay into Spains NHS and get some sort of cover if not EU or will i have to have private cover from the start

Can anyone please tell me of any other negative's from UK coming out of the EU with me coming to move to Quesada in 2 years time (although already have house so wont be buying at that time)

Norway is in the EEA which is effectively part of the EU. It pays contributions, agrees to implement freedom of movement and is part of the Schengen area therefore they don't need visas. It agrees with EU directives and generally passes legislation into law. It is a free trade area except for food.
You can only pay into the Spanish NHS if you are working or are self employed and pay around 240 Euro a month social security.
There is a Valenciana scheme where you pay around 70 Euro a month per person if you are under 65 (more than double if over that) but you have to have been a resident for at least a year. You would have to show you have private health insurance to cover you
To become resident as a non-EEA citizen you have to prove an income of around €35000 a year for a couple plus private health insurance. Temporary resident permits are issued at 9 months a time and are renewable if you still meet the conditions. After 5 years continuous you can apply for permanent residency.
Norway, Iceland and Leichtenstein are current EEA members.

If you're moving out in two years time then the UK negotiations should be completed and we won't know how it will affect us until then.

I am glad I got my residencia card yesterday.

The scheme that you pay into in Valenciana is called the Convenio Especial. It costs €60 per month per person if under 65 as we are. This gives you total access to your doctor and hospital treatment. It does NOT cover your prescription charges which you must pay in full. You should be able to apply at your Centro Salud. We eventually had to go to Alicante to do it as the Centro Salud in Torrevieja insisted that it has been disbanded, which it had not. In fact they were totally unhelpful. After our application was accepted we had to go to the address in Alicante and collect our SIP cards, which took all of 5 minutes. Hope this helps.

What about pensioners? If we decide to stay in Spain this is the most important decider for us.

We plan to move out next year.

Has anyone heard if residencia applications are going to be suspended whilst negotiations are taking place?

Does anyone think existing Spanish/expat full time residents could get their residencia revoked?

Am I right in thinking the double taxation agreement is separate to EU membership?

Do we think a new reciprocal healthcare agreement is possible such as those the UK has with countries like Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia as well as Australia, New Zealand and Barbados?

All so very unsettling!

Many thanks for your answers can i just ask one question, the Valenciana scheme i take it is only good while we are in the EU but once we have left whenever that might be, do you think they will keep this in place or is it to early to ask this question. Thanks again

I commend Scotland in there commitment to remain in the EU its a great pitty that England and Wales chose the end of Great Britain as we know it, Scotland will be out of the U K that is a fact and I dont blame them whatsoever I was not a great lover of the SNP but now I think they are all for there Country not as the English And Welsh. Pete.
