winners, losers? I think the real losers are new generations in the UK not having the chances we expats have been lucky enough to receive.

Good posts good to see lightheartedness coming out of the mess. As a Scot who has never voted for the SNP I think in answer to whiskybob ( who seems to be at my national drink already) if/when Scotland get independence there will indeed be a Scottish/EU passport. But yes there will always be an England but with Boris the buffoon in charge and the "special relationship" with the USA possibly led by Donald Trump I can't see where Scotland will be sore losers as you suggest. But rather they'll be winners by a long way. Now where did I put that kilt

Can't help thinking that whiskybob is the re-incarnation of brownale.

Is it possible that whiskybob was created from the ashes of brownale? The demise of one and the 'birth' of the other were just days apart.

Scotland is going to have an immigrant problem now. 48% of the English voted to remain - including me, and they'll all be queuing at the border for asylum....I'm sure I have a Granny somewhere from the highlands that I can conjure up .... Vision Nigel Farrage's poster ... Lol ps had great fun following your debates but being a lowly 6 month renter thought I'd better lie low!

There is one thing to consider - the Devolution Act states the Scottish (and I assume the Welsh) Parliaments must agree to (can't remember the legalese) any Westminster decision that affects the whole UK. There's still a way to go with this one...

I'm looking into it Pete, my son and daughter are entitled to one by decent, but not sure about my wife but can't see why not, after all it's money for the Irish economy, who's going to turn that down ? Only the English it would seem at the moment. As one drunken English man on the television said in the Brexit camp "England's got plenty of money" ? All the best mate and Wales for the European Cup I think ?
