Healthcare After Brexit

I didn't know whether to put this in the existing healthcare bit, in the section dealing with healthcare or in the After Brexit bit. This seems appropriate and I feel deserved a new topic.

A bill has been presented to parliament to safeguard the healthcare of those living in the EU and to those visiting EU countries after we leave the EU next year.

Bill to Safeguard Health Care (Dated yesterday)

It is designed to continue the reciprocal agreements we have now and, hopefully, will be passed and agreed so that funding will carry on. If it is voted for then that should take quite a bit of worry away from those living here or planning to move here in the future.

Thanks marcliff. But here’s a better idea. LETS STAY IN THE EU.

I think that boat has sailed. I don't think any government in UK could overturn the referendum vote without putting themselves out of office for quite some time.
Hopefully we'll get a satisfactory deal before leaving which is about all we can hope for.

Now, I don't want this to get into the normal back and forth frothy comments which tend to follow such threads. Just some info to show that we haven't been forgotten.

Anyone have information on the bills which affect the above.
FYI - I am a non-resident open to move over to Spain in five years time.

The one that is in my first post as a link? That's it, the Healthcare (international agreements) bill.
Only had its first reading yesterday so a long way to go.

Parliament has a bit more info but it says it has to go for a second reading with no date yet announced. Click the underlined bit above.

Obviously people aren't really that interested on what will happen in a couple of months.
Ah, well.
