You are confusing residency with citizenship.
Non EU citizen can become resident in Spain, it's just that the rules are different, like applying for a visa before entering Spain, showing a larger income than for an EU citizen for example, or investing a certain amount of money into the country in the form of a business or property purchase.
None of them confer citizenship but do qualify for residency.

I agree with all of the comments you are all making to some degree. There’s good and bad reasons for leaving and remaining. The eu could have made it a rule many years ago, for all countries in the eu to make it comfortable for “all” illegal immigrants to enter and be funded and looked after in each and every eu country, freedom to move from country to country, allowed access to all funded public services and benefits and housing etc at a pro rata rate equivalent to that country. As glassman rightly pointed out, the uk has its own share of 100% dependents on the public money pot, 700,000 British citizens to be exact, dependent for everything and nothing in return, as seen on the news recently. And then, there’s all the illegal immigrants we know of, 400,000 ( up to 860,000, wide range because apparently no one actually knows).

From what I hear, it’s mainly Germany and the U.K. who are offering the compassion for all of this while the other countries just assist people to pass through their country by turning a blind eye and offering nothing.

From what I see on the news, it’s reasons like this that voters decided to the leave on. It would seem that we think, why pay all those billions into a club called the eu if we still pay for everything else in-house as well. We voted, the result is the result, so I hope we stick to it, and leave.

They are NOT illegal when traveling through Shengen countries if they showed a passport at a Shengen entry point. They become illegal when they reside and take up work, under the radar, in a country or, enter a non Shengen country illegally.

Undiscovered llegal immigrants DO NOT have access to benefits, housing or healthcare. Once discovered they might claim asylum and, at that point, they will be treated as our Sovereign Government has decreed independent of EU rules, regulations despite what Brexiters, Farage, Robinson and banners on big red busses might say

This topic has been reported at least 7 times and it's very difficult to know what to do as whatever Admin do will be wrong by some of you. The easiest thing to lock it!
