Well already the Brexit effect is happening. Tried to order an item from the USA, used a company I used 2 years ago.
Very polite e-mail. Owing to the uncertainly surrounding your countries decision to leave the EU, we are not sure what shipping requirements will be needed to ship to Spain.
In the event something concrete does happen, will be more than happy to ship your order.
That will be the reality for us mortals, the EMG, Farage etc will just use their private planes to collect.

How can the Uk leaving the Eu have any affect on a delivery from the USA to Spain
There’s no logic in that
Who’s the EMG and Farage, by the way, doesn’t have a private plane
This is a strange post to say the least
Somebody please tell me I’m wrong ??

You are not wrong.

Why should an order from USA to Spain be affected by Britain leaving the EU.

Wires seem to be crossed???

There are no uncertainties between USA and Spain concerning exports so why would they not be sure what shipping requirements will be needed to ship to Spain.

I think someone is having a laugh!

Sometimes it is not the actual facts that matter but perceptions. If the US company think there are problems then they can cause problems... Brexit is being followed by the US media as can be seen on CNN.. https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/26/uk/t ... index.html

Perhaps our friends on the other side are being cautious of something they don´t quite understand...but then again, nor does the UK parliament..

if a USA company decided not to ship to Spain surely that's is their choice, and can quote any excuse they wish, also it might depend on the goods to be shipped,So many blinkered people, and ready to blame Brexit for anything ,

Might be worth bearing in mind 70% of Americans do not have passports. Their idea of shipping is interstate. Perhaps understandable as the country is vast with so many climates to enjoy. I worked in shipping for almost 50 years and from time to time visited US companies. One customer thought Amsterdam was in England.

You may find if it is being ordered and paid for from the UK but being shipped to a 3rd party country ( Spain) there could be a problem if the import / export rules change or are uncertain. Sounds like the USA supplier being ultra cautious. But none the less clearly a consequence of Brexit uncertainty.

This is a brilliant forum, until, you get into subjects like Brexit, then with I presume with no research out come the well basically to me insults.
The last two posts spot on.
At present my supplier ships to the UK, pays VAT and seamlessly sent to Spain.
What happens when the UK is a third world country.
I agree the company is being cautious, it,s fairly high value items, and in typically US Service they are responsible until it is delivered to you.
If you still think I am mad or deluded I direct you to page 24 of the general page dated Jan 10, have a look at somebody trying to get an item from the USA.
