Like virtually all things, there will be winners and loosers. The report highlights one looser but there will also be many winners, including GB in the long term.
Remember this is an article in a very anti brexit, anti Tory newspaper which has been bias throughout.
Brexit is done. Start living with it and plan for the future, which in the long term will be positive.
The EU as it stands is crumbling and more will leave before it collapses completely.

I’m sorry Michael but your tale about the future follows the usual ambiguous statements, e.g. “in the long term”. What does that mean, what’s promised? The answer the that is nothing, you’re just hoping that the grass is greener on the other side.

Where is the evidence that the EU is ‘crumbling’? Why will it ‘collapse completely’? I’m sorry but they are just marketing sound bites.

Oh and please be kinder to fellow forum members. You may disagree with my views but, come on, rubbish?

Well said MichaelC in last post,

It’s called “democracy” and the majority voted to leave the corruption of the European Union. It’s about time the understandably disappointment remoaners stopped the sulking and their tantrums, faced the reality and truth that Britain is once again a sovereign state.

Have a good day all .... :-)

Thank you for the brief lesson on democracy. But, you forgot to mention that the same democracy has the ability and power to reverse a decision, just as the 2016 Referendum did to the 1975 Referendum.

And, you have a good day too

Glassful - as you have brought up the word “kinder”.

I find it quite irritating that you continually want to “spark” a debate on this forum that inevitably ends in people falling out again and again.

This forum is far better when people are helping each other, sharing their experiences and generally being nice. I took one look at your post when you first posted it and said to myself “oh no - not again” and ignored it - I’m sure many others did as well.

You are fully aware that your comments will divide people on the forum but seem to take a sort of sadistic pleasure in returning to this subject.

My new word for this month is "jobsworths" and yes we do have a few on here. I totally agree with Michael, let's look forward as I am more than sure that the UK will pull through with flying flags, it will of course take time we knew that, but better than being at the beck and call of the bullies of the EU. Again, I too believe that once other countries see how we pick ourselves up and get on with it, they too will leave.
