Sorry to anyone who may have noticed several problems with the website this weekend. Our website host experienced a technical problem and we are working with them to quickly resolve any effects it had on our website.

Please see below for the issues:

  • Missing posts, PMs, accounts: You may notice that posts, PMs or newly registered accounts that were made between Thursday 28 and Friday 29 have disappeared from the site. We are trying rectify the missing data and hope to have it back on the site at some point. In the meantime please let us know if you need any of this missing information urgently.
  • Missing attachments: we have noticed today that attachments to posts that were uploading between Thursday 28 April and today have gone missing. We are working with our host to rectify this.
  • New posts link showing incorrect posts and number: when you click on "View new posts" it might show you posts only going up to the 28 April. We may have a fix for this which is to:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Delete all board cookies (bottom right) - let me know if you can't see this

Please note:

  • This will log you out
  • This will reset your new posts count to 0 - but will hopefully work from that point onwards

You can also use our "Active topics" link to show you the latest posts:

active-topics.html

Again, please accept our apologies

Alex

I don't seem to be able to mark all forums as read. On the header it says " unread posts nil " but when I open " read unread posts" I get 175 pages of posts.

Hi,

This should get things back to normal:

Go to the bottom of the site and click on "delete all board cookies"

It will log you out but it should fix things from then on when you log back in

It will reset your new posts back to 0 but should be back to normal from then on.

Please let me know if this works?

Jan

For all those still having problems showing new posts, we have an "Active topics" link on the homepage which should show the latest posts:
