If you recommend please say why?
Posted: Sun Oct 21, 2018 9:56 amIt is not very helpful to post a link (or name and number) on the forum for a company or Tradesman without saying a few words about why you are posting that link / person or company.
We do have new members joining the forum almost every day and sometimes they recommend Tradesman etc and we must be a little wary that they may be 'recommending' themselves/husband/friend which means they are not true recommendations.
If you see a recommendation, before using that recommendation, please think first - How long has the member been on the forum. Look at their other posts and see how many times they "recommend' the same Tradesman.
We have one or two members who hardly post anything else except the same 'recommendation' over and over...which is a bit suspect!
Personally I would want to see why a member was recommending (not just a link/name, number) and would not use a 'recommendation' from a new member. They may not be genuine recommendations. Many people come to Spain and think "I can do that" but are not genuine skilled Tradesmen.
We have many helpful well established members who can genuinely recommend people they have used.
A new member should join in the forum like everyone else and not just come on to 'recommend' or back door advertise their mate, family member or themselves!
