Don't take this as a lecture, there are enough of them on here doing that, but once someone in your home, or a close contact tests positive then everyone in the home has to quarantine for 14 days. We had a case recently where this happened. A child in the house tested positive. Nobody else in the house or close contacts tested positive including the class but we all had to be PCR tested and quarantine for 14 days despite having second negative tests 7 days apart. I never want one of those tests again. I got a sinus infection after each test. We queried the one positive test but were told there couldn't be false positives! The only thing we could think of was the child had a flu vaccine, the nasal one, 2 weeks previously and had flu like symptoms after it. Was it a reason? We will never know.

I'm not entirely sure why the conversation is continuing.

The two tests are mutually exclusive.

You should NOT be having an NHS test if you are NOT showing any symptoms.

You can ONLY take a PCR test if you are NOT showing any symptoms.

One or the other. Not both.

Hello
Is there anyone out there who has recently used a reliable UKAS accredited private PCR tester in the UK? If so any recommendations/suggestions of who we could use for our forthcoming travel to Quesada in April. We have residencia status.
Thanks

Hi, just wondering if Alicante airport has a PCR testing site at the airport in order to take a test for my return flight to the uk.

Sorry if this has been asked recently ( did go through forum but may have missed it)

We just went in and booked our appointment. They give you a form which you complete and take with you when you go for the test. You also need to take your passport. I understand that they're quite booked up so better to do it ASAP.

Hi All. I'm due to visit my place on El Raso for the first time in ages but will need a PCR test done over a weekend. Can anyone recommend a clinic or Chemist that's doing the tests on a Sunday. I'm driving back to UK leaving on a Sunday afternoon and the ferry's on a Tuesday so need to allow the 3 days. I can probably just get away with a Saturday but it'll be a bit tight.

Quiron hospital will probably do it, give them a call. You only need the cheaper one lateral flow? Which you can get for 39 euros dint know what they charge.
