I have worked for more than ten years in a building with possibly hundreds of satellite dishes ( some 5 m across ), tv, radio and heaven knows what else on the roof.
It is a two storey building and I work eight hours a day, five days a week under all of this hardware.
More than one staff member suffers serious headaches and we have had many other illnesses reported.
Could the equipment on the roof be pulling down damaging rays of some kind onto us?
Are our brains being fried?
Does anybody know?

The signals that are being received by the dishes/aerials won’t be causing any health issues at all. These signals are whizzing around in the atmosphere anyway and just because you have equipment on the roof to receive them makes no difference to your health.

What could be an issue is if there are any transmitters up there on the roof, and any heavy duty electrical supplies needed to run all of this gear.
If the setup is acting as a relay station, receiving signals from one source and re-transmitting them, then the signals that are being transmitted could be a low-level health risk. It’s a contentious issue, and the risks are clearly fairly low or the bods that study this stuff would have had this stuff banned - at least in some country somewhere in the world.
Electromagnetic radiation from heavy duty electrical equipment such as electrical substations, overhead power lines etc. is also thought to be a low-level health risk by some. Once again, there doesn’t seem to be an overwhelming weight of evidence against it, or you wouldn’t have overhead power lines running through residential areas. Having said that, I viewed a property on Lo Crispin and the power lines were one of the things that put me off, and that wasn’t just from an aesthetic point of view.

Of course, if you listen to our friend Roach, we should all be wearing tinfoil hats and things like smart meters, mobile phones, Wi-Fi and microwave ovens should be banned.
I think there’s a sensible middle ground somewhere and depending on the type of equipment they have on the roof of your office building you may want to think about working somewhere else (but remember, receiving dishes aren’t dangerous, it’s transmitters and heavy duty electrical gear that might pose a risk).

If you’re thinkg of suing your employer for health damage then forget it - there’s just not enough evidence to support claims of that type.

You can scoff and mock all you like about the dangers of EMF but there is a very real risk. At the end of the day that comes down to who you believe.

As to address the original poster, yes there is a risk to this equipment and only the "i wouldn't want anyone to think i'm a conspiracy theorist" crew would think otherwise. There is plenty of info out there on the subject but some people choose to ignore it. My advice is to look into it in your own time and don't necessarily take someone's advice on a forum such as this as gospel.

And yet you're typing that on an electronic device of some sort. PCs, Laptops, Netbooks and tablets (to name but a few) are held much closer to your body and emit far more EMF (although well within safety ranges) than a smart meter would do. Any LEDs in your household equipment?
So, let's all sign a petition to have laptops and PCs banned. Might tidy the internet up a bit if people can't post.
