Marcliff is correct. I have looked into this for my son who wont leave his dog behind. Vueling take small pets on their flights as we have seen people queuing with them, but not on UK flights and they are a Spanish airline but it is the UK that doesnt permit it.
If you read the paragraph I pasted from Blue Air's website it says Great Britain doesnt allow pets on ANY inbound or outbound flights.
You had better double check with them as you dont want to get to the airport and get turned away.

I have and this is what it says:

We can transport small sized animals, cats and dogs, of up to 6kg including the cage (in the cabin) and medium sized pets up to 32kg (in the plane’s haul).Which is probably what you read.However, underneath that statement (again copied and pasted from Blue Air website)Important: Great Britain makes an exception and does not allow pets on any inbound or outbound flights.As said, best you check before turning up.

Hi just to let you know I have spoken with Liverpool airport today and they can confirm that Blue air do and are allowed to carry dogs either in the cabin if under 6kg or if heavier in the hold from UK to Alicante.

Hi Lollipop, thanks for letting us know, although I must admit I am very surprised. I dont understand why they have the exception for UK flights on their own website. Maybe they havent updated it.

From their T&Cs
“8.6.5 For the flights operated to Great Britain and from London (Luton), no live animals may be transported either in the passenger cabin, or in the hold.”
It looks as though Fido and Fluffy can fly out of Liverpool but cannot return to the UK with this airline
