Yes, a great urb to live on. There is just one bar/bistro, the Jukebox which is really welcoming & has good customers & great food, entertainment a couple of days a week too. Also a good Italian restaurant, Altos del Bosque.
As regards access to Guardamar, it is a good 30/40 minute walk to the seafront but we have a bus service which runs Mon/Fri & 7 days during July/August & taxis to/fro are no more than 7 euros.
We live in a "bungalow" which is essentially a low rise (just ground & first floor) ours is on the first floor & our community fees are very reasonable at around 150 euros per year.
There is an apartment block called " Colina Royal" which has several lifts & due to the maintainance cost there community fees are much & i mean much higher.
All in all, a great place to live in our opinion. We have lived in Eden 18 months but prior to that we lived on La Marquesa golf, we had 18 great years there but living in Eden has opened up so much more, example, get to the bus station in Guardamar & you can travel virtually anywhere in Spain & beyond.
I'll shut up now lol!!!!!
Regards,
Dave.

Dave,

Thanks for the info. Found it useful.

Sounds like having one's own transport is not a must but preferable.

James, it all depends on your desire/fitness/age regards walking to town etc. We are both early sixties, active & find the walk quite easy, that is until the height of summer, we then welcome the ten minute ride on a lovely air-conditioned bus.
Lots of people manage happily without their own transport, we do have a car, manly used for days out, runs to the bigger (Carrefour) supermarkets, shopping centres & overnight trips away.
Regards,
Dave.

I dont know your plan to go somewhere from your house. Localy with a bike would be enougth to go everywhere. Medical public center is just 1.8 km
2 food stores (one with English food) at 1,5km.
The beach 2.8km

Of course it is easier to go with car, but i see more and more bikes, some electric bikes.
