If you think this isn't allowed, just report the post and have it deleted, I don't care. But thought it would be just a little bit of fun, for a change.

From "The old days" who remembers what, sweets you eat, what you did to pass the time (no rude replies), school you went to etc etc, Just one answer at a time, I'll go first:-

Used to love these

Bus fare to school was 1 penny, I used to run the 2 miles without stopping and visit the 'Handy Shop' next to the school, I spent the penny on an Oxo cube and sucked it dry... This was during the war. It must have been good for me, I'm now in my 80's and hate Oxo's

Used to like the Jamboree bag, think they had a toffee, some hard kind of chalky hard sweet and little toy whistle or something, can't remember what else they had

You can still get those and when I'm over in the UK I often have a 1/4 but have to be careful they don't pull your fillings out. They have those little sweet shops here and there that sell them out of old fashioned jars, but a bit more expensive these days, a lot actually that's why I only have a 1/4lb
