Many people have asked the question but so far NOT1 person (except your self) has ever answered it. Obviously it benifited you with your personal circumstances but can you name anything where the U.K. is in a better position. I saw a benefit which allowed me to bring my retirement forward by about 15 years, but that benefit wouldn't have been seen by all!
