WhatsApp - Free phone messaging

Hello Everyone,
I used a brilliant free messaging service while in Spain last time, called 'WhatsApp' and just thought it was worth mentioning.
When there's a WiFi connection, a message can be sent just like sending a text, really quickly and easily. It also can easily be used to send photos instantly from wherever you are - All free to send! I found that non-urgent messages can still be written when WiFi is out of range and they will be automatically sent & received by 'WhatsApp' when back in range.
I'm not particularly quick at getting my head around these kind of things but I found 'WhatsApp' really easy and fun to use.
For those who haven't used it, it's free for the first year for most mobile Internet phones and after the first year it is only a small nominal yearly fee for most phones of 99p (69p for IPhone). Multiple years can be bought at a discount.
Here's the description from the website:
"WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform smartphone messenger currently available for iPhone and all other smartphones. The application utilizes push notifications to instantly get messages from friends, colleagues and family. Switch from SMS to exchange messages, pictures, audio notes and video messages with WhatsApp users at no cost."
