ROBBERY WARNING

I have just had my wallet stolen whilst shopping in the Chinese Merca Benijofar.
As far as can ascertain it happened whilst walking around the store and I came across an elderly Spanish gentleman who could not reach a box on the top shelf.
So I did my bit to help and reached up and got it for him. He thanked me and off I went.
When I got to the counter to pay for the articles I wanted to purchase I discovered that my wallet was not in my pocket.
When I got home an hour later after reporting it to the police I phoned my bank to cancel my debit card.
The manager told me that 570 Euros had already been taken from my account.
I am putting this warning on the Forum to make others aware of what is going on at that Chinese shop.

Thanks for your replies.
You are correct JPEG.
I know it was wrong but my memory is so bad I had to have the PIN number written on a piece of paper inside the wallet. It did not contain any information that it was a bank account PIN.

Wallets are a godsend to pickpockets. As far as pinnumbers always change them to an easy remembered number e.g. birthday, part of phone number, house number etc. Don't leave it on a piece of paper in the wallet. You are making life easy for thieves.

if only it was allowed to remove a digit each time someone was found guilty of thieving. it would be a useful deterrentand the thief would have limited opportunities.
