Thieveing Baxstards .....!

Bloody cheek , last night someone removed the towbar and rear step from my Peugeot boxer van parked on the road [ ave de Huelva ] damageing the rear bumper and leaving nuts and bolts on the ground ...!!!!
What they are the are going to achieve is debateable as the towbar is a UK Witter and the step is unique so neither can be legally fitted in Spain plus I have the brackets serial no ....!!!
Screwed up me takeing the the trailer I had recently bought to take back to the UK in 2 weeks time ..!!

Just a thought but Feu Vert near Carrefour fit tow bars and sort out the paperwork. For a Ford Courier it was about €180 ish

Going to sort it out thro ins , friend just had transit one fitted was 490 e + itv fee ..

Probably off to northern Africa or elsewhere in Europe .. won,t get the next one off easily as I will have the bolts welded ....!!!

Looks as tho I will be footing the bill as insurance company are trying to wriggle out of paying ,their excuse is that that it was not an original factory fitment , tho it was fitted to the vehicle when I bought it ....!!!
When you buy from a dealer and want extras like a towbar or different alloys etc they source and fit not the the vehicle manufacturer [ unless its from a very upmarket car company or competion dept ] ,this I explained to them and they are now considering the claim.
Another thing that came to light was that any additions to a vehicle have to be notified to the ins coy otherwise they not insured , that includes items that are added by the dealer to enable a sale of a standard car ..!!!
