That is the problem with the media. They tell us how many people in every country and globally have it or have died from it BUT they don’t tell you how many have recovered from it. If people saw the recovery figure as much as the death figures ,I am sure they would realise you are more likely to recover than die.

AND ITS ABOUT TIME WE GOT THE SUN BACK

They do tell you if you look at the right information sites.

Worldometer

You can see the number of confirmed cases, the number of, sadly, deaths, the number of active cases, the number of recovered, the number of cases per million population and the number of deaths per million.
If you click on the country name you will get loads more information.

Worldometer

There are also the governments figures which give a breakdown by region.

Pedro Pete wrote:Yes marcliff, that’s the page I got my figures from. Ie number of cases, then googled population of Spain, however I think you are missing the point of my post a little. I just wanted to get across that although it is going to get worse , as of today if you have the virus, you are 1 person in 729,871. The page you refer to is hardly motivational, as mine was, to give people a bit of hope. That’s all.

We will see a rise in new cases soon here and in the uk when the testing kits arrive so the new cases numbers will not tell us much. The cases in critical care are the most important to me at the moment as they indicate whether the medical establishments can cope. Once these figures start reducing then we may see a relaxing on our freedom of movement but I feel it is a long way off yet.

Pedro Pete wrote:Yes djw, I agree, personally I don’t think this lockdown will come off until the start of May.

I can't see a relaxation of restrictions until a vaccination program is well under way
