I missed my appointment by not taking due care and attention to the important information I received.
Call me stupid but I tranlsated the original message and the date format changed.
Not really sure what to do now. I could go to Torreveja today on the chance they might fit me.

I dont mind sarcastic comments as i deserve it.

On the covid jab thread (yeah, I know, there are now dozens of them as a new one gets started every time someone gets and appointment) the government site says if you were unable to attend an appointment you will be contacted in the next week.

If appointments are sent by SMS, posters on here are saying the civil protection officer at the door will check your mobile to see if you have an appointment before letting you in.

When I went for my appointment at Ocio in Torrevieja the civil protection officer was looking at the mobiles of people entering but she only glanced at the screen so I don't think she was actually checking the date and time but just that you had an appointment at Ocio.

I think it would be worth going, if you are challenged then you can explain why you missed the appointment.

I did just that and it was not a problem. So had my vaccine and l look forward to the next one in 3 weeks.

I’ve been in the UK for a couple of weeks, where a close relative died this morning and, I too, missed my Tuesday appointment. It’ll be a several weeks before the funeral and before I get back to Spain. I asked Steve Ford (interpreter) to tell the Lo Maribu surgery of this and, an eye appointment. He told me that they said to book my appointments once I return.

Sorry to hear your sad news. You will have no problem getting an appointment I was so thankful that they jabbed me today ...

Don't hold your breath, I am still waiting!!

I drove to Torreveja the next morning abd was there by 8 joined the queue and 20 mins later after a chat with the wonderful receptioist I got the jab.

Today I fell fine just have a sore arm. Next one on the 25th May and wont miss this one.
