Curiosity got the better of me too.

Also heard the cooing and wondered what was going on. I opened one of the boxes up and it contained a pigeon incubating eggs on a nest in the dark.

Just been up to el recorral today and it is infested with mosquitoes must be all the stagnant water. If you are a target for mozzies you better stay away.

Really Oh!
They have installed circulators & it was flowing very well when I last saw it and didn't see any mozzies myself :(

Stagnant water attracting mossies was a concern of mine as I don’t live far from there.

You can see all the larvae in the water and then look down and they are flying all around you.

The point is the water company have spent a great deal of money to ensure it isn't stagnant! - You can see how much flows over the waterfalls they have created. - as well as adding more treatment, and it was done to stop dumping all the insufficiently treated water into the 'blue' salt lake where it was creating a large mozzie problem - particularly for those living near it in Pueblo Bravo & El Raso!

It's a great improvement, but it's a shame that they left so much of the bright blue pool liners exposed. It kind of looks like they ran out of money before they finished landscaping. In (very few) spots the liners were covered with stone and it looks so much better.

Give it a year & let the pond weeds grow etc & I doubt you'll see the plastic then :)
They've already had a flower on one of the water lilies and the ducks will find it soon too,
