Carrefour are giving away discount vouchers for the Halloween specials at both Terra Mitica and Mundo Mar, so that might save you a few euros :text-lol:

Hi,
I'm afraid the fiesta celebrations on at the moment in Rojales are finishing on the 19th October and I haven't heard of any other local fiestas happening during the 23rd Oct to to Nov 3rd.

There is the Quesada bowling or the Quesada mini-golf (if the weather is fine). Also behind the Habaneras shopping area there is bowling, cinema and a good games arcade which my kids loved when they were teenagers. There are climbing frames on some of the beaches - La Mata has one. Also kites are good fun on the beach if it's not busy and a bit windy.

Ages 9 & 14 may also like Karaoke which is on in quite a few bars, either to watch or join in.

The castle at Alicante makes a good day out and it's free!

If you don't want to drive, there are a few days out by coach, including Alicante, that they might enjoy with Davids coaches or Rosa Tours.

You could take them up to the outdoor gym in the park on Dona Pepa 2 - Most older kids find it fun to use the equipment and it's free! Also they might enjoy a game of Boules (Petanqua) in one of the many areas and it's also free, if you have a set.

However, I always think it's best to probably not over-estimate what youngsters want to do too much, especially the 14 year old, they might prefer to 'chill-out' after being at school and not be too organised.

Have a good week. Hope the weather stays good.

Jan

Just 15 mins away from Quesada is an outdoor activity centre that is open all year round and offers fun activities for all ages, especially hard to please teens. Casa la Pedrera, the Grand Design House offers Quad biking, (Off road so no license required) archery, air rifle, horse trekking, kayaking amongst other things. All the activities take place within a protected reserve that borders a blue redervoir
Embslse de la Pedrera. There is also a Halloween Party which invoves a Trick or Treat Hunt on Thursday 30 or Friday 31 and all the activities ill be running at greduced prices. Hope thst helps as it is sometimes hard yo find fun things for kids to do out of season.

Hi grandcasa,

That sounds interesting for when we have the summer crew over next BUT, 15 minutes in which direction from Quesada?

***Just been on good old Google earth and found Embalse de la Pedrera, or the 'Blue lagoon' as we call it. Whereabouts is the activity centre located please?

Cheers,
Jordy

Not sure if the place below is the same as the Grand Design House, it is certainly in the same area but it is listed separately on eurotourguide.com

http://en.lorufete.com/

We have two 24 year olds going there today for horse riding, zip line and kayaking and I know they also have quads, paintball, mini golf etc

Also, I know the dojo (beside La Taberna, Claptons (now monos), Nan Kin area) have martial arts if they are interested in that kind of thing and they also have a kids night on a Friday where you leave them from 8 - 10.30 pm so you could get a night off ;)

Hi winnie,
I'm not sure what road it's in but it's somewhere near the junction of Avda Cadiz and Gerona, behind a gated park with a small man-made lake in. See this map: resources/image/1049 (click on it to enlarge) - The junction of the two roads is a little way above where it's says Dona Pepa II in large red writing.

The outdoor gym is quite big and there are gates around it with opening times on. I have put some photos on below which may give you an idea where it is if you can recognise the houses in the background (click on the photos until they enlarge enough).

Hope this helps.
