Quad biking, Horse riding near Torrevieja
Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2014 6:02 amThere is always a lot to do in the summer season around the Torrevieja area as the water parks etc are open but for the rest of the year, parents struggle to find things to do, especially for the hard to please teenagers. Fortunately the outdoor activity centre Casa La Pedrera, The Grand Design House are open year round offering family fun filled activities. The most popular activity is quadbiking as NO LICENCES are required. Children from 7/8 years, depending on ability, can drive their own quad bike. There is also double up allowed for parents & small children. Children from 3 years can do pony rides down to the lake as well as horse trekking for both novice and experienced riders. They also offer archery, air rifle, fishing, kayaking, and much more. On site there is a tea garden cafe & craft shop. They are within easy distance of Torrevieja, just inland on a beautiful reservoir, The Embalse la Pedrera, ('blue lake or lagoon'). The views are simply breath taking so it is worth taking a drive out even for the spectacular location, as the House appeared on the popular TV Program , Grand Designs. You will find them on the CV950, which runs off the CV95 linking Torrevieja to Orihuela.
