Hi, My 14 year old grandson is coming to stay a week today in Benimar and he loves snorkelling, I have no idea where to take him to do this. Can anyone help me to find both a safe and good snorkelling area please. Thanks

If you go to Cala Capitan, between La Zenia beach and Cabo Roig, you can see lots of fish near the wee island, they are used to getting fed and come out as soon as you go in the water.

You don't need a snorkel for Cala Capitan so may be a bit tame for someone who wants something a bit more interesting. Tabarca Island is supposed to be good for snorkelling and you can get a boat out to there from Torrevieja. Alternatively there is a cove near Cartagena called Cala Cortina which is heaven for a snorkeller - like swimming in an aquarium. But you need a car to get down there. If you want more details please pm me.
