Zaiqa Indian Restaurant

We went to the Zaiqa restaurant on Avenida de las Naciones on Friday night.

The food was fantastic - good quality and sizeable portions. Because we are before 8pm we got the early bird, so a meal for two with a bottle of wine cost us less than €30. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

I was concerned that there weren't as many customers as I would have expected. I know this particular site has been through many owners.

I would sincerely like to see this restaurant succeed as they seem to be doing everything right.

I would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good curry in a friendly relaxed environment. To be able to sit out on the terrace on a mid October evening enjoying good food and wine was lovely!

We'll be regulars. Let's hope others will try it and also go regularly.

We used to live in the Bradford area and our local curry house regularly won the national award for best indian restaurant.

The food in Zaiqa is just as good and it's next door to our favourite bar (La Taberna) :-)

We went tonight. Arrived just before eight and they gave us the special evening menu.
Just €13.95 each with a bottle of wine.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful.

A great night out for less than €30. I hope they get the success they deserve.

We'll definitely be going regularly from now on. What's not to like!

Tried a takeaway from them a couple of weeks ago. The food was tasty and nicely cooked but not particularly spicy, despite ordering jalfreizi which is usually slightly hot.

I thought the main course portion was very small for the price charged but the naan bread was absolutely fantastic, best we’ve ever had.

My takeout with one starter, one main, one rice and one side dish and naan bread came to more than the €30 meal deal for two which I believe also includes a bottle of wine!

Might give it another shot and eat in rather than get a takeaway. At least that way I can direct any criticism or praise directly to the staff.

We went with friends and one of them had a dopiaza because he likes the onions. He asked them to make it madras strength, which they did. He said it was the ideal spiciness.

The portions on the eat in meal deal are fine - not stingy like other Indian restaurants that do meal deals and just reduce the portion size. I'll not name any names but there are at least two that do that!

I can recommend eating in and having the meal deal. Just ask them to spice up your jalfrezi. I am sure they will oblige and they are happy to hear feedback.

It's just a nice friendly restaurant serving high quality, plentiful, good value food. We'll be back again this weekend. And again on Tuesday 28 November for the Christmas fayre that the bars and restaurants are hosting next week.
