New restaurant, El Resspiro, bit out of the way in old town on narrow back street hill going up towards the caves from Rojales - Calle San Pedro, 46.
Spanish, it serves breakfasts, snacks, tapas & menu del dia from Mondays to Fridays - only lunch time.
Menu del dia is only 9€ & includes usual 2 plates, afters, wine & coffee & menu is limited to just 2 or 3 starters and main plate.
E.g. today's menu (Tue 19th Jan) is first plate: lentils with chorizo & serrano or cream of courgette soup, & second plate is: pork loin with potatoes or monkfish in sauce.
Not eaten there yet, but been in and looks really nice & already getting reviews on Trip Adviser

Hi
We don't have many restaurants or bars from Rojales in our restaurant section but would like to put as many in as possible.
The problem is when I have walked round Rojales town during the day I very rarely see a restaurant. I assume like many old type Spanish towns the restaurants are more noticible in the evening.
If any one can tell me any other Rojales restaurants in the town and locations, we can then put them on our list showing where they are and further details about them.
:text-thankyouyellow:
Ps. I am reluctant to get the names from the internet as it's not always up to date information and they can be closed or changed names, even though they are still shown online.
So please only let me know if you have seen or know the restaurant personally.
Jan

OK... Here's another couple perhaps:-

Merccinis is where I always go if I want a nice pizza.
Over the old bridge into the town centre & straight ahead - traffic free road & Mercccins is just to the left opposite in Calle de la Paz.
Not open on Mondays & Tuesdays, it is run by a Dutch chef & his Spanish wife - although since th birth of their son, she isn't around so much. And Staff speak English too.
Enormous choice of pizzas - thin crust with lots of topping. :)

And in the traffic free road there, is Spirit bar which does nice tapas & variety of mixed plates - platos combinados - too.
Very good & reasonable.
