If you want somewhere really special and don't mind a short drive, then try Finca La Vuelta on the outskirts of San Fulgencio. A little bit more expensive than most but well worth it.

La Cova at El Campello. Went with friends & loved it so much we went back 3 days later. Excellent food, good service, amazing views overlooking the marina. They speak some english. Menu del dia is great value at about €17.50 per head. Not cheap but well worth paying.

my favourite is The Club house at La Marquesa golf course,great food,good value and lots of choice
