Tony and I are not the greatest at eating out, and I suppose we are quite fussy. BUT today we came across a real treasure. Just walking along the promenade at La Mata with the dogs, we saw a new building with a huge front terrace and swimming pool. It was very windy and they put us round the back as we couldn't go inside cos of the dogs. There was a no dog sign but as it wasn't that busy I guess they didn't mind.

We only wanted a snack and had the three cheese and mushroom on a pizza base. When it came out it looked amazing, and tasted even better. I know it was only cheese and mushroom but it was the presentation, you could tell that this chef knew his stuff. I went inside to enquire about booking for a large group for an organisation I belong to. They said would do a special menu for us. The chefs had been brought in from somewhere, Spanish but they certainly know how to cook, you could tell by the food that was coming out of the kitchen.

Thoroughly recommend you go and check it out, it's called ALMA
on the front at La Mata.
