hmmmmmmmm seriously !!!

It would of been so much easier if the owner of the bar had a easy to understand breakdown of the the final total of the bill,

And for the owner to publish your total bill on the forum, well that's a bit unbelievable to say the least,,, god know what would it would be like if some actually complained in person and in public at the restaurant ???

It would be so much easier if someone at the bar/restaurant took the time to program the till to print a receipt that quite simply states IVA charge

good luck

The restaurants prices look really reasonable; I've not seen G&T's that price anywhere in Elche where I live. Keep up the good work.

Just looking at the breakdown of the bill. Is beer sold in pints around here? I thought drinks in Spain were served metric measures. :?

I think you will find that most Restaurants add items to the Bill as they are ordered and then can keep a proper and accurate record.

From what I read isn’t this as simple as the final bill is just illustrating the “inclusive of vat amount” ?

It would beeen different if for example the 4 main meals had been printed on the menu as €13.50 each and then had been charged at €13.50 plus 8% - but from what I read - the prices advertised were the prices charged - so I cannot see the problem.

I have a UK Aldi invoice in my wallet - it tells me my total is £30.59 of which £4.22 is vat - IT HAS NOT ADDED THE £4.22 again - it is already included in the prices that were advertised over the items I purchased - it is common practice.

Da Sylvas has recommendations on this forum and the OP (Tony&Angie) said the food was good, in fact excellent, and now the bill query has been cleared up by the restaurant.

As most know on here, we do always say on this forum that any query with a restaurant or company should be taken up directly with the business concerned and not placed on a public forum.

However, the owner has kindly replied and many of us can look forward to going to this restaurant, if we haven't already.
