Hi everybody. I've always refused to go to any Wok Buffet restaurant simply because I feel that if you pay someone to cook your food then why go and fetch it yourself. It reminds me of a holiday we took with our children over 30 years ago in Gran Canaria. It was a camel safari. It was great until we rode the camels down through the sand dunes at the bottom of a mountain to where we were going to enjoy our evening barbeque which was pretty good actually. After we had finished eating our meal, the travel company rep announced that the ladies took a rest and the men did the washing up. Well I was a black country lad in his twenties. We didn't wash up at home so I was certainly not going to do it here. It took ages but we finaly mounted our camels for the long way back.:) Then the cold shoulder for a couple of days from the gaffer. My two young boys saw the funny side of it but then I was always serious. :D Why pay someone to do something for you then do it yourself.:?

Anyway, I've decided to give the Wok a try.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised Glyn. I don't really like Chinese food that much (can take it or leave it!) but I love the Wok. There's so much choice and the main course cooked by the Wok chef, if you get that far, is really good - The special Garlic Sauce is delicious!

I'm not a big-eater and I found, with the Wok style of dining, it's nice to try lots of small bits of different things until finding the things you like. That's the advantage of the Wok. It took a couple of visits but I now know what I like best.

Be brave...Give it a try...There's no washing up... promise!

Hi Glyn (perry) , like you, we never fancied a buffet and did not go there the first 3 years we were here but a couple of years ago, some friends used our house and raved about it and so we gave the wok a try and really enjoyed it, especially the main course where you can choose exactly what you want fr fresh ingredients.

We tried a new restaurant yesterday at Marina salinas, can't remember the name (old age) but it was on the end with orange covers and it was really good.

Very very hot here just now, but still better than the rain back home!

Hi Laura. Yes the weather is hot but we shouldn't complain. Over here its very rare that you get a bad meal. Some are better than others is my policy.
