Indian Ocean, mediocre at best, Bombay Grill, Punjabi Palace & the newish Little India are far superior. Indian Ocean used to be good but unfortunately, in my opinion, hasn't moved on whereas other Indians have evolved with customers requirements/tastes.
As always, just my view.

Try Little India, Guadamar side of Marqesa Golf course. Very good.

Punjabi Palace everytime for us...…….chicken shaslik one of my favourites.tried other indian restaurants in the area been disappionted, always return to Punjabi Palace.

Have tried a few now since original post.The Indian Ocean was not great, poorest of all so not going back. Punjabi Palace by the golf course was very good. Spice Hut OK. But strangely enough the one that in the past has not been rated by many (and we tried and didn't like in the past) was actually this time close to top...the Taj Mahal in Benimar. They must have new chef ( or maybe just our taste. We like spicier rather than bland dishes)

We used to go to the Taj Mahal quite a lot, unfortunately it was a bit "poke & hope" some weeks a really good strong curry & others a bit weak.
If the Taj is still under the same ownership, his wife is the owner of Sabores at La Marquesa golf & the curry there, although limited choice, was always very good. We haven't been to either for a good while now so things may have changed.

Little India at the back of the golf course is excellent there food has so much flavour.

Would you recommend Taj Mahal for an anniversary dinner? Fancy atmosphere?
