I think its the one on the corner on Las Naciones in the little parade of amenities where Monos bar and The Gingerbread man are. It has a lovely ambience like sitting in someones private house/garden but the food is pretty basic compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. The service was good when we went and the surroundings were lovely as was the homemade garlic dip and bread unfortunately the rest of the meal was just mediocre. However this is just my taste buds as my parents who visit regularly love it there.

Hi,
The one you've posted above is not the Grande Italian, it's the Antica Italia and that one is on Dona Pepa next to Pepa's Bar - There are lots of Italian restaurants around the area - We are spoilt for choice - Here's the info for the Antica, with streetview, if anyone needs it:

It must be a love it or hate it type of place. I like it, my grown up children like it, my sister in law doesn't like it. She doesn't like all the personal pictures and nic nacs all over the place. I don't mind one way or the other about those things. I like the food, albeit basic, but a reasonable price and fast, friendly service.
We've been three times now and never been disappointed.

I have been going here since 2006 and I love it, my kids love it and any other friends or family who have been over love it. Prawn cocktail, T-bone (best I've had anywhere). The wine can be a bit hit and miss, you usually get what they want to for you but it's all good and it's always busy which tells you something.

Edited 26/07/2015 - The restaurant below is the one above Gama on Dona Pepa - sorry not the Grande Italia see further posts for the Grande Italia details!Hi,
Just found this on their Facebook page : +34 966 718 737
I hope it's the same restaurant as I haven't been inside and outside it is covered in climbing plants and looks quite small and can hardly be seen from the road. If this is the same place then it's a 'Tardis' inside and has big terraces too.
https://www.facebook.com/AnticaItaliaRe ... t/timelineCan someone confirm that this is the correct restaurant?
