Well that's an eye opener! never knew folks made a big deal out of having a icecream , If I fancy a icecream I just go to the shop and buy one theres loads of choice in the supermarkets ,

I’m not sure taking her visitors to Lidl for a tub of ice cream was what the OP had in mind

It's a Holiday Treat for some people. I remember as a child we always had a Knickerbocker,Sundae on Holiday.
The Spanish love them.

You're right AnnetteD, it wasn't.

Thanks for all the local suggestions folks but we had a total change of plan, took our meat and ice cream loving visitors to El Gallego in Pilar then onto Torre de la Horadada for ice cream at Heladeria Galan overlooking the marina. Both places were a hit.
