Oscars

Another restaurant I really like is Oscars on the main street in Quesada. They have a set price for a starter and a main - or a main and a pudding - or all three courses. I think it's about 13 euros on average and wine is about 6 euros a bottle. Ken the chef used to work as a chef on the cruise ships and again the quality is high. John the 'man at front of the house' is a real scream. During the day they open more as a cafe and they have ladies serving. The scones are home-made by Ken and they serve them with jam and cream.

Just a word of warning...if you order one of their excellent steaks, be aware that their idea of 'Rare' is more 'French' than most of us might expect, i.e. a degree or so MORE RARE! I didn't mind mine a bit bloodier than usual as the meat was so good.
If in doubt, describe how you want it to look in the middle!

Hi Roger,

Welcome to TalkQuesada. :text-welcomewave:

Oscars would certainly suit a few on here who seem to crave 'blue' steak then  !!

Yes - you could be in for a "rare" treat!;)

Unfortunately, when I was in Spain a few weeks ago I found out that Oscars no longer have the murder mystery parties as the lady who used to organise them is no longer with us.
