Yes. Makes perfect sense to me.

Perhaps people are new to the forum or are not so tech savy as others & don't fully understand which option to select when posting a new post.
From the home page the 3 biggest boxes that catch the eye are "post a message" "find a shop or business" "find a tradesperson" & the first box anyone is going to go to is "post a message" & from the drop down box there is a comprehensive list of the specific forum to post in, the closest thing i can see would be the "things to do & places to go around quesada" it doesn't necessarily say restaurants so could be open to each individuals interpretation when posting.
Only if people delve deeper & use the "search" facility or "find in quesada" & select a topic does the "restaurants" option show.
Just a thought.

Gustav had made 157 prior posts. He’s not new to the forum

I didn't say gustav was new to the forum, i'm fully aware of the users who frequently use the forum.
But thanks for pointing it out for those that didn't.

I thought if people want to recommendations a restaurant,
Why not use the right heading,the more it's posted in, the higher up the forum it will show
