Talk Quesada forum

Went to The Bells Hungarian restaurant again while we were in Quesada and as usual had a really nice meal. This time we went in the one on the left hand side of Sam's bar. The three course menu is now 8 euro but still great value. I had the Hungarian Bean soup for starters, then the Pork chop (not like a pork chop at all as the pork is boneless!) in gypsy style sauce with steak potatoes and home made Tiramisu - All was delicious! Good friendly service and even the drinks are reasonably priced too.

I think they still have the 5 & 7 euro menu too, without the dessert.

We had so much to do this time, while we were in Spain, that we only had a chance to go there once, which was a shame, as we usually go there a few times - We will no doubt make up for it next time....can't wait!

We love it there.Such good value for money and the food is great. Hopeing to go again next week, and perhaps try the restaurant on the left too!!!!!!

Goulash Soup and Zigeuner Schnitzel this trip. Value, taste and enjoyable - all for 7 Euros.

Went to the Bells again and as usual had a lovely meal served by very friendly people.

The Bells on the right is now called La Campana and the one on the left is still The Bells. They have split into two separate restaurants, which may explain Sandra's question about whether they had changed hands.

After chatting to the owner we found out, although they haven't changed hands, the partnership between the two Bells restaurant owners has split into two and, although they are still friends & countrymen, it is easier now for them to both treat each one as a separate business.

I'm sure that going by the meal we had this evening that both restaurants will continue to serve great value food as good & tasty as ever.

Just back from 3 glorious weeks in Quesada. Apologies - I registered on here ages ago to ask a question and have never got around to posting anything since! Just had to come on and agree with all the good reviews of The Bells/La Campana. We ate at La Campana 4 times during our holiday and each one was excellent. The food is great (goulash being my favourite) and the value is unbelievable. It was the same waitress each time and she was so friendly and helpful. As the weather was so good we went to the nice garden area - music playing, not too loudly, and just a lovely atmosphere. Very highly recommended!

So glad you enjoyed The Bells / La Campana. We have never been disappointed.

Did you try the new outside menu called Thunderthief'? I took a photo of it and asked the owner what it was. He said it was a new menu for the outside seating area in the Summer. We didn't quite understand why they have devised another menu but it looks nice all the same - so now it seems that between the two restaurants they have a number of set menu's, just to confuse us with great choices! LOL.. all of them fantastic value as usual.

Hola Jan, thanks for the welcome!It was actually The Bells we went to 4 times not La Campana (couldn't remember which was which!) - mainly because of the lovely outdoor seating area. Yes we did try the Thunderthief menu we had the Kebab and baked potato - it was excellent, too much food for me as we each got two kebabs but that's not a bad complaint!! Unbelievable value for money. I only hope all these places are still there when we come to live in Quesada - still a few years away unfortunately. Not to worry we're back again in September so will look forward to that.

Agree with everything that has been said, but one addition is in La Campana restaurant, their house Rioja is one of the best red wines I have ever tasted. Food is brilliant and the Rioja is the icing on the cake.

Had a lovely meal at The Bells. Mixed salad with prawns to start then the chicken & pork kebab followed by the homemade tirimasu. Washed down with a house white and a generous measure of Sebrano. My wife had an equally large measure of Baileys. Bill came too 35.50euros for three of us. Very friendly people. Left a good tip. Highly recommend it.

We have only been to La Campana so cannot comment on the larger restaurant (the bells). The food is great whether you have the 5euro Or 8.50euro meal (which is a little larger). Laslo the owner and cook is very obliging and nothing is too much trouble.He is extending his restaurant by taking over the unit next door which was a ladies dress shop. So expecting great things this coming winter months. To comment on the house wine......... The red is fabulous, love the large glasses. Can't wait to go once again next week........
