we call them flourcakes the ones that have risen in the oven,the ones at the bottom of the oven are called oven bottoms, I,m a Lancashire lad the home of Warburtons bread, in fact my uncles brother was Mr Warburtons chauffer .back in the good old days.

Eventually got some from Johnson’s. More like the flour cake than oven bottom, but as they say. ‘Owts better than nowt’

I obviously misread this and was outraged that someone could describe a persons bottom as looking like a Muffin , not very flattering David & Wendy LOL
